Intro Paragraph:
I'm Drea, and I'm a social work major. I took time off of school to stay home with my kids, so while I should have completed my degree a couple of years ago, I'm just returning to school. My interest in photography has been a slow and limited process. I worked for Sears Portrait Studio for 3 years, and in that time photography became a possible hobby to a complete passion. For the past year I have worked freelance. My overall knowledge of cameras/setting/creative and artistic photography is pretty limited which is why I'm taking this course.
The picture above is of my daughter, and I shot this a few weeks ago while we were flying kites in Greenfield Park. I understand that photos themselves are not memories, but rather remind us of them which is why this photo is my favorite.
Thanks Drea! You really captured a great expression/moment in this image. I can see why it is one of your favorites! As someone who shoots photographs for commercial purposes I look forward to seeing the projects that you come up with in this class where you have creative freedom...
